  • Discounts on SCBT-MR meeting registration fees – The SCBT-MR sponsors an Annual Course intended for radiologists in private or academic practice, radiologists-in-training, non-radiology physicians, and radiologic technologists. The meeting typically consists of explaining the basis of imaging protocols in many areas; better performance and interpreting advanced imaging examinations; determining the current role of virtual colonoscopy and lung cancer screening and improving the safe application of CT and MRI.

  • Eligibility to submit abstracts - The Society encourages new and innovative research in body CT and MR through their research abstracts. Approximately 20 abstracts are selected for oral presentation at a scientific session held prior to the annual meeting.  Award winning abstracts receive funding for research in several categories: the Hounsfield Award in CT; the Lauterbur Award in MR; the Moncada In-Training Award; the Junior Faculty Award and the Cum Laude Award.

Active Member

Active members are those physicians actively involved in the field of radiology and who are board certified by the American Board of Radiology or are board eligible who have paid the current year's dues and are actively involved in the field of Radiology and who are board certified by the American Board of Radiology or are board eligible are eligible to become Active Members of the Society.
   
Active Members are eligible to submit abstracts to the Research and Science Committee, attend the Scientific Session, and attend the Research Reception if they have authored or co-authored a presentation at the scientific session.
 
Active members shall have the right to vote, hold office and serve on standing and ad hoc committees.

Dues:

  • One Year $250 
  • Two Years $475 
  • Three Years $675

In-Training Member

In-Training Members are physicians currently enrolled in an approved radiology residency program or a post residency fellowship program.
 
In-Training applicants must submit an Application for Membership which shall include verification of enrollment (program name, start and end date of program) in an approved radiology residency program. In-Training membership is complimentary for the length of the program.
 
Those individuals who go directly from an approved residency to a fellowship program may continue as members in training until completion of the fellowship program by notifying the SCBT-MR membership department. After completion of training or fellowship, the members in training will automatically be eligible to become an Active member of the society. Individuals residing outside of the United States and Canada may also join the Society as members.
 
In-Training Members will be eligible to submit abstracts to the Research and Science Committee, attend the Scientific Session and attend the Research Reception if they have authored or co-authored a scientific paper.
