Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

 We NEED your help!

Dear SCBT-MR Member,

The Society of Computer Body Tomography & Magnetic Resonance has long supported the American College of Radiology to help advocate for widespread coverage of screening CT colonography (CTC).  March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and as part of the advocacy efforts we NEED your help.

Two bills have recently been introduced:  one in the Senate and one in the House of Representatives: Senators Jim Inhofe (R-OK) and Bill Nelson (D-FL) and Congressmen Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) and Danny Davis (D-IL) have recently introduced S 2262/HR 4632, the CT Colonography Screening for Colorectal Cancer Act of 2016. These bills ask that Medicare be required to cover CTC as a colorectal cancer screening option for patients 65 and older.

What you can do to help: Please contact your state Senator and your state Representative to ask them to cosponsor S 2262/HR 4632 requiring Medicare to cover screening CTC which will lead to more colorectal cancers being detected and more lives saved. Use the link below to email your Members of Congress directly. Please do this now!
